How To Stay Healthy on Holiday

While holidays are a great time to relax and take it easy, with more and more of us becoming more health conscious, it doesn’t mean we have to let all our healthy habits go out the window. Thankfully, Sandals caters to both those who want to take a break and indulge while on holiday and those who want to keep up their health and fitness regime. Sceptical about how you can stay healthy while on a Luxury Included® holiday? Just read on and find out how it’s possible…

Exercise

At Sandals your holiday doesn’t just have to be about lounging by the pool or on the beach, with there being so many opportunities to get active and exercise while on your holiday. Whether you want to stick to your routine or try something new, there’s plenty of opportunity to fit in a work out at Sandals.

Fitness Centre – If you prefer to exercise in a gym then be sure to pay a visit to your resort’s world class fitness centre. Here you’ll find state-of-the-art equipment alongside talented personal trainers, ensuring that your fitness regime doesn’t fall by the wayside while on holiday.

Land Sports – Why not make the most out of the Caribbean’s beautiful weather and take your workout outside while on holiday? At Sandals a multitude of land sports are on offer, and best of all they’re all included! Go for a round of tennis or a spot of beach volleyball and top up your tan while keeping fit at the same time!

Water Sports – One of the Caribbean’s best features arguably has to be the sea, and with it right on your doorstep in resort, it would be a shame not to take advantage of it for your workout. At Sandals unlimited water sports comes as part of the package so why not give paddle-boarding, snorkelling, kayaking or one of the many other water sports a try as an alternative way to keep fit?

Food

It might sound counter intuitive to go on an all-inclusive holiday if you’re on a healthy eating diet, and while it may take some will power to avoid the tasty treats on offer, it’s perfectly possible to eat healthily at Sandals.

Breakfast – With resorts offering both a-la-carte and buffet options, there’s plenty of choice that will allow you to eat healthy food that tastes great too. With fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt, oats, and a whole range of cooked options on offer, your healthy breakfast will never feel boring.

Lunch & Dinner – Each Sandals resort offers up to 16 restaurants and 21 cuisines from around the world, ensuring there will be something healthy and to your liking on the menu. From fresh fish to lean meats, food in resort is both delicious and nutritious. What’s more if you have any specific dietary requirements just let the restaurant staff know so we can meet your dietary needs.

Recovery

Relaxation and your mental wellbeing are just as important as your physical health, so it’s important to take some time to chill out and destress while on holiday, thankfully there’s more than enough opportunity to do so in resort.

Red Lane® Spa – Book yourself in for a pampering treatment at the Red Lane® Spa and feel all stress and worries instantly melt away. With a range of treatments to choose from including massages and beauty treatments, this is the perfect place for some time out and an indulgent treat.

Beach/Pool Time – Whether you’re a pool person, a beach person, or a bit of both, you’ll be more than covered at Sandals. With each resort placed on the shores of some of the Caribbean’s best beaches, and a variety of pools on offer, there’s plenty of space to relax and unwind in the sunshine.
