Sandals Golf And Country Club Celebrates 13 Years Of Its Annual Chairman’s Golf Invitational
Sandals® Resorts held its 13th Annual Chairman’s Golf Invitational at Sandals Golf & Country Club from May 16-18, 2019, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Sandals’ Chairman’s Golf Invitational is only available to Sandals Select Rewards Members – a program designed to reward Sandals and Beaches’ most loyal and recurring guests with exclusive membership benefits, such as redeemable points, special recognition gifts and even free vacations.
This year, the tournament was formatted as a two-person scramble using 50 percent of the total handicap of the two players on each team, with other competitions including “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin.” Additionally, players could purchase an opportunity to have a member of the Sandals Foundation’s Junior Golf program play on their behalf at the 14th hole and also buy mulligans, with all proceeds going back to the Sandals Foundation – the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International.
The lucky team who came in first place won a 5-day, 4-night trip to any Sandals or Beaches Resort, while the team who landed in second place scored a 4-day, 3-night trip. Other prizes included 10,000 Sandals Select points for the winners of the “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” competitions. Not only did participants and their guests take advantage of Sandals’ magnificent 18-hole course in Ocho Rios, but they also enjoyed the 5-Star Luxury Included® amenities Sandals is known for. This included a “Spa-ty,” or spa-themed party at the Red Lane® Spa at Sandals Ochi, a Welcome Cocktail Party at Beaches Ocho Rios, an awards ceremony at Sandals Royal Plantation and much more.
Sandals® Resorts will host its valued Sandals Select Rewards Members for the next Chairman’s Golf Invitational at Sandals Emerald Bay – one of the most scenic 18-hole, oceanside courses in the Caribbean – from Sept. 15-19, 2019. This will be followed by the 14th Annual Chairman’s Golf Invitational at Sandals Golf & Country Club from May 14-16, 2020.
