Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards after more than 800,000 readers rated the world’s best hotels, resorts, countries, islands, tour operators, and more - and Sandals® Resorts and Beaches® Resorts made the list! This year, five of the Luxury Included® resorts were recognized in two Readers’ Choice Awards categories: the “Top 15 Resorts in the Atlantic Islands” and “Top 40 Resorts in the Caribbean.”

The first Sandals Resort to be awarded under the “Top 40 Resorts in the Caribbean” category was the first resort established within the company’s portfolio forty years ago - Sandals Montego Bay, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Founded by the late Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Sandals Montego Bay has always remained the heart of Sandals Resorts and today boasts some of the brand’s most iconic features including Swim-Up Suites, overwater bars, Over-the-Water Wedding Chapels and more. In honor of its 40^th anniversary this year, Sandals Resorts has yearlong celebrations planned for guests across each of its resorts to enjoy – starting where it all began, right at Sandals Montego Bay.

The next two resorts to be recognized as one of the “Top 40 Resorts in the Caribbean” are Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica and Sandals Grenada in St. George’s, Grenada. Sandals Grenada’s pools in the sky, cascading waterfalls and river pools await couples in love while Sandals Royal Caribbean invites guests to experience a kaleidoscope of cultures from Britain to Bali and is home to a private offshore island with the brand’s awe-inspiring Over-the-Water Bungalows and Villas.

In the “Top 15 Resorts in the Atlantic Islands” category, Sandals Emerald Bay was awarded for its private and secluded offerings for couples set amidst the sparkling emerald ocean while family-friendly resort, Beaches Turks & Caicos was awarded for its array of fun-filled family activities including a Pirate’s Island Waterpark, endless land and water sports, and gourmet dining at up to 21 restaurants.
