ABC's Hit Romance Reality Series The Bachelor Visits Sandals Resorts

Sandals Resorts, the Luxury Included® resort company for couples in love, will set the stage for romance in Jamaica during an upcoming episode  of ABC's reality series The Bachelor. The episode will feature three unique resorts in Jamaica owned by Sandals Resorts International - Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, Sandals Royal Plantation and Rio Chico by Sandals Resorts – as the backdrops for the Bachelor, Ben Higgins, and his final three ladies as their journey comes to an end. The first of two episodes will air Monday, February 29th, 2016 with the second episode to air Monday, March 14th, 2016 both at 8/7c on ABC.  The resorts featured in the episodes include:

  • Sandals Ochi Beach ResortFollowing a recent multi-million dollar renovation project, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort features a fresh, modern design aesthetic along with seven uniquely new Gourmet Discovery Dining options for a total of 16 on-trend restaurants, a fresh, trendy Ochi Beach Club, reinvented resort entertainment, upgraded luxurious accommodations and more. Encompassing over 100 acres of lush landscape, the resort also features the Caribbean's first and only speakeasy.
  • Sandals Royal Plantation - Understated elegance and exquisitely private, Sandals Royal Plantation is an intimate all-butler resort of just 74 ocean view suites tucked into a magnificent coral bluff. Renowned for unmatched attention to detail, this enclave of retro-chic sophistication showcases roaming peacocks and manicured lawn and has long been a favorite hideaway for the international jet set and literary elite, with the likes of Ian Fleming and Noel Coward seeking its casual island elegance and authentic Jamaican vibe back in their day. Today, exquisite original furnishings and new innovations - like Jamaica's only champagne and caviar bar - are designed to impress.
  • Rio Chico by Sandals Resorts - A breathtaking 14-acre villa located just outside of Ocho Rios, Rio Chico by Sandals Resorts is a six-bedroom private property that combines true beachfront luxury with lavish gardens reminiscent of a formal estate.  With manicured lawns, lush tropical and heavily fruited gardens, lily ponds and ivy-covered stone bridges, the landscape sings English-country-garden meets Jamaican tropical paradise. Rio Chico, with a staff of highly-trained butlers, private chef and sous chef and housekeepers, is the epitome of old-world charm and luxury and perfect for large gatherings of friends or families who are looking for the height of luxury and exclusivity to the extreme.

Ben Higgins, the handsome software salesman who was sent home by Kaitlyn Bristowe last season on The Bachelorette, confessed to Kaitlyn that he thought he was "unlovable." Even so, he saw a great life with her, only to have his hopes dashed and his heart broken when he was left without a rose. Now, Ben is ready to open himself up again to love, but he still has lingering fears. He will attempt to put his heartbreak behind him and overcome those fears when he stars as the Bachelor and searches for his one true love.
