Sandals Resorts Announces Newly Renovated Sandals South Coast in Jamaica
Sandals Resorts announces the re-launch of its award-winning resort in Jamaica, Sandals South Coast. Formerly known as Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa, the totally reimagined Luxury Included® resort unveils its new additions and impressive upgrades.
“With this re-launch, we have brought our most innovative ideas and concepts to absolutely reimagine the guest experience,” says Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart, Chairman and Founder of Sandals Resorts International. “The results further embody the beauty of the region embracing the incredible beach and water this resort boasts nestled within 500 acres of nature preserve.”
So, what's coming to the all new Sandals South Coast? Continuing its pathway for the Caribbean's first-ever overwater bungalows, Sandals South Coast will be Sandals' next destination for the recently introduced ‘over-the-water’ villas like those at Sandals Royal Caribbean adding 12 over-the-water bungalows to the destination. Since we can't seem to get enough of Jamaica's blue waters, Sandals South Coast will also be introducing Sandals’ first dedicated over-the-water bar, named Latitudes, where you and your honey can enjoy a cocktail in your hammock suspended above the Caribbean Sea. And if you don't feel like getting out of the water to go get that beverage? No worries, Bar-Tender, a floating, ocean-based swim up bar, will make its way by while you're right in the ocean. Not to mention, Sandals South Coast is also going to make it possible to tie the knot overwater with its new over-the-water wedding chapel, with a breathtaking 360-degree, panoramic water views and a glass floor aisle. Brides and grooms will have the option to make a grand entrance on their special day by arriving to the wedding chapel in style via boat, too.
So, what is beyond the water? Additional completed renovations include upgrades to the resort’s existing five restaurants as well as four all new 5-Star Global Gourmet™ dining options: Sushi on the Sand; Beach Picnic, where Butler guests can have a romantic picnic on the beach; Jerk Shack, a dining option with open-air seating and rustic vibe that serves authentic jerk dishes; and Schooner’s, which serves Caribbean fare.
The most exciting part about Sandals South Coast all new accommodations is that they are ocean-facing, allowing for some of the most memorable sunsets in Jamaica.
