Sandals Resorts Holds Annual Chairman’s Golf Invitational
Sandals® Resorts held its annual Chairman’s Invitational Golf Tournament at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course between September 11th and 14th in Great Exuma, Bahamas. The Chairman’s Invitational Golf Tournament is only available to Sandals Select Rewards Members – a program designed to reward Sandals and Beaches’ most loyal and recurring guests with exclusive membership benefits, such as redeemable points, special recognition gifts and even free vacations.
This year, 32 players from all over the U.S. came to participate in the two-person scramble tournament, with other competitions including “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin” to score 10,000 Sandals Select points. The lucky team who came in first place won a 5-day, 4-night trip to any Sandals or Beaches Resort, a trophy, an autographed picture from Greg Norman and a Greg Norman branded hat, while the team who landed in second place scored a 4-day, 3-night trip.
Not only did participants and their guests take advantage of Sandals’ magnificent 18-hole course in Great Exuma, but they enjoyed the 5-Star Luxury Included® amenities Sandals is known for. This included a tour of Exuma, a “Spa-ty,” or spa-themed party at the Red Lane® Spa which featured free chair massages, refreshments and product samplings, a cocktail reception and a three-course awards dinner with live music and dancing.
Perhaps most notably, participants were given three opportunities to donate to the Sandals Foundation – the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International. Guests had the opportunity to donate at the returning guests’ dinner, by purchasing mulligans on the course as well as a “Play from the Pro’s Stoke,” resulting in a grand total of $3,000 donated to the Foundation for Hurricane Dorian relief efforts.
Sandals Resorts will host its valued Sandals Select Rewards Members for the 14th Annual Chairman’s Invitational Golf Tournament in 2020 at Sandals Golf & Country Club in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, from May 13-16. The next tournament at Sandals Emerald Bay in Great Exuma, Bahamas will be from September 9-12 and will also include a tennis tournament.
