Sandals Resorts Breaks Ground On New Saint Lucia Resort
Sandals Resorts, the Caribbean’s leading all-inclusive luxury hospitality company, has officially begun construction on its newest resort in Saint Lucia. When the new luxury resort is finished, it will officially be the fourth Sandals Resort on the island!
The breaking ground ceremony was officiated by Mr. Allen Chastanet, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, on May 2, 2018. He was joined by other notable government attendees Minister with Responsibility for Tourism Dominic Fedee, Minister of Economic Development and Urban Renewal Guy Joseph, Sandals Director of Corporate Services Jeremy Jones and Sandals Saint Lucia Managing Director Winston Anderson.
“The investment today represented 36,000 new guests who will be coming to Saint Lucia. This by itself will represent a 10% increase in the number of arrivals into St. Lucia,” said Mr. Chastanet.
The construction of the fourth Saint Lucia Sandals Resort will employ over 1,200 local citizens, with an estimated construction time between 22 and 24 months. Upon completion the new Sandals resort will boast 380 high end suites, the very latest in room designs and features, and will employ an additional 900 permanent workers – bringing the total number of employees in Saint Lucia to 2,700.
Other Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia include Sandals Regency La Toc, Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Sandals Halcyon Beach. Be sure to follow the latest Sandals Resorts news by visiting www.sandals.com/news.
